El Raton Gonzalez features five (5) basic rooms with low ceilings, built on a slope below the main building. Each room offers a double bed and private bath with hot water. Additional lodging is available in newly constructed cabins, and the establishment provides a small swimming pool and restaurant/pizzeria/bar service. Breakfast is made available exclusively for guests of the inn. In 1997, the owners added an attractive churuata-style bar with a thatched roof.

In the Venezuelan Andes you can enjoy wonderful walks through the mountains and down by the rivers in the valleys. Horseback riding is also available nearby.

The lush rainforest provides ample living space for a variety of creatures. Especially beautiful are the kaleidoscope of butterflies - some as big as your hand! - and the vast number of bird species in the trees and skies around you.

Fly into Caracas and than take a plane to Guanare or Acarigua. See driving directions.
When driving, you can come from 3 directions.
1) Valencia - San Carlos - Acarigua - Guanare - Biscucuy - Campo Elías
2) Coro - Barquesimeto - El Tucuyo - Chebasquen - Campo Elías
3) Maracaibo - Aqua Viva - Bocono - Campo Elías
El Raton Gonzalez is on the left side of the highway, as you leave Campo Elías to the south.
